After being frustrated by Cingular's lack of support for Y!Messenger on Blackberry devices, I came across this workaround. It seems more complicated to implement than it actually is.

I would simply add to these instructions that I installed Y!M first (Y!M for Blackberry), then proceeded with the instructions as provided by Spencer_CDS in the first link.
