One thing I have found if you reg an expired domain that is listed in Yahoo... the pages on your new domain get indexed a lot faster by other search engines.

there are a zillion scripts on ebay for $4.99 to do just that.

The catch? most need you to put in each directory one at a time
e.g. one is "Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Books/Accessories/"
..and there are 10,000 more
