Greetings,
one ad-hoc method i use in conjunction with others in determining domain value is "the traffic estimate" tool in adwords.
Have you found this a useful method as part of your appraisla protocol for those popular search engine term names as opposed to brandables?
what other measurable ways do you use.
Micro-Case Study
for Example. for one of my domains xxxxxxyyyyyyyy.com
xxxxxxyyyyyyyy is a 14 character, two word fairly generic term with many possible subcategories such as
s1.xxxxxxyyyyyyy.com, s2.xxxxxxyyyyyyy.com
in Wordtracker: it shows as 14 exact searches
but with over 800 total searches with this term included somewhere in the phrase.
in Adwords: "xxxxxxyyyyyyyy" term is valued at $6-8 CPC with 6-8 clicks a day
Based on just this info what [price range] would you place this domain under?
and what other analysis would you consider in valuating it?
thanks in advance for your opinion
