Hello all,
after the very friendly and professional valuation of my last domain, I have another domain and this time I personally find it even more difficult. I think it polarises enormously, but personally it has been one of my favourite domains in the whole portfolio for many years, but the value is extremely difficult to grasp.
For all English speakers, "xxx2" is a very common word in German for the consumption of cannabis - It is probably the number one keyword for smoking pot/cannabis.
Especially since "smoking pot" has not yet been legalised in Germany according to the current legal situation. I assume, however, that this will change in autumn (Germany votes in autumn), as almost all parties except the CDU/CSU faction and AfD are in favour of legalisation. But especially the Greens and the FDP have the issue very prominently in their demands, so legalisation could happen this year in many conceivable political coalitions. This means that we are now about half a year before probably legalisation in Germany, so it is still very early for cannabis domains.
It regularly receives bids (about once a year but often only these low test bids), is a very long-standing domain of mine but I find it particularly difficult to evaluate (I have a figure in my head for what it could be worth after legalisation, but I don't want to set a bias but simply want to know your opinion).
Therefore, I ask you to make the assessment after legalisation. Because as we all know, the domain is hardly worth anything today without legalisation and will (probably) only gain massively in value from autumn onwards. What do you think? Have I made a mistake in my thinking? Where do you see the value after a legalisation of smoking pot?
