XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

Two questions if I may...

1. Other than xrgear selling for 5k as per namebio what other "confirmed" XR sales are there?

2. What would be the value if you change that "G" to a "W"?

MyXR - 17k
3XR- 15k
GeniusXR - 6.5k
XRgear-5K
XRstories-2k

On nambio

@NextGen Brand and i sold XRporn for a combined deal of cash and names - cash part was more then 12k

There were other not reported deals im sure.

Honestly,
maybe it's different with the average opinion,
but to me AR or VR 1) sounds better, 2) looks better and, most important, is far more known than a synthesized name like XR.

However, of course I see that XR can be very much used for both.

But when you are in both, can you then be excellent in one?!
🤔😆👍

Some talk while others sell 👀

Whatever Apple does the world follows... introducing a glasses with XR in the moniker would be huge for the entire space. Even if they don't..... they've already indicated that that's what they will use in describing said product and that in itself is already spreading and trending XR. I see it being used at lightning speed. While I think this will be good news for all the other acronyms as well... XR has a certain sex appeal lol. It just looks good in branding.

CES can't come soon enough and hopefully a couple weeks till Apple's announcement! Let's go!

People know my views on XR.

I’ve never invested in this area, as far as domains is concerned for the most part i feel domains was traded between investors, yes there was a few end-user sales, but for the most part companies who have branded around XR haven’t paid for their domain name (therefor little to no market).

XR is still a thing though and is used by companies, so could have a future (no one knows for sure) and with that all the best to those who have invested in this area.

Spatial Computing - i know Apple are using this term right now, but is it really marketable as far as branding is concerned? I wouldn’t build a brand around ‘Spatial Computing’ would anyone else here? That is what you have to ask yourself as an investor, I look at this as a term like ‘personal computer/computing’ has personalcomputer+keyword domains ever had any significant sales/demand?

Again no one knows for sure, but again it won’t be an area I will be investing in myself.

No one needs a $1300+ smartphone. I've been using a new $200 Samsung for the past year and it has almost all the same bells and whistles, can take decent photos, play simulator games and so on.

No one needs a $3000 TV but they sell in the millions.

No one needs a $50k car when you can buy a cheaper one just as reliable for a fraction of the cost.

You understand whst I'm saying but you have a bias.

Apple never enters an industry until it's proven first. You repeat that the The Vision Pro is improven as something we need, but headsets have been a thriving industry for a DECADE now!
What do you mean I have bias, do you keep replying this way towards me because of what I own (don’t type it publically)?

There is no bias in me, I say what I think and put my money where my mouth is and I buy what I think AFTER I said it and that is what you get with me.

I’m a grounded person, if something fails and I’m heavily invested in this area, I will say it has failed (see Merged) and I own the main in that too, even though I still think what i own is an important domain in immersive tech, i wouldn't advice anyone to buy keywords in it (unless things like 'games').

If people have invested $1 million in domains or $10 it makes no difference, we are all in the same boat, we are all here to potentially make money, I’m not an expert in VR/AR, I have a full time job outside this, I’ve made a lot of money in domains, but I’ve also made mistakes and I’m here to give my own experiences where I’ve failed and succeeded (so people can learn from me), there is no ego in me and I learn every day, I admitted as much today in how I underestimated ‘Spatial’ after researching more last night.

Don’t say I’m bias, I’m not that person!

We all invest our money in different ways and have different views, as mentioned above even big tech don't sing from the same hymn sheet, hence Meta's and Apple's totally different vision for immersive tech.

I'll be honest i don't like investing in developing tech nowadays for this reason, things can change all the time, i prefer to invest more sure things and have had more success doing that.

But I've made some solid investments in immersive tech, but so have many others here, lets see how it all goes (y)

I started this showcase so Newer Members on this thread could get a sense of what some of us who've been around this XR (AR,VR) niche a bit longer see as valuable. It's a fair indication of areas worth following and attempted purchase to be made etc.

So beginners.... be careful as to what you handregister. You can get some good names on this forum with the right budget or if playing the drop... target names that may have a future. Make an offer. Look at these portfolios and post questions or to get a feel of what you should be targeting just my 2 cents

Good luck to us all!!!

XR is only going to get bigger as AR and VR converge. Alot of rebranding is going to take place too. I've turned down several mid x,xxx offers so far this year in my portfolio. Just like I did with my aged VR portfolio... I'm holding out for xx,xxx plus on most names.

I usually don't report sales and since @Hugo_Strange and @Elad n already reported this sale before me (been really busy this couple of months) i wasn't going to mention the sale but what the heck, it's always good to share especially in a industry that i believe in and support.

So sold GeniusXR.com for 6.5k a while back, it's the highest 2 words reported sale in XR (from my knowledge without considering 4L sales) i think the highest one before mine was XRstories.com which @Elad n sold for 2K.

Offer came from sedo mls and started with $100 negotiate it to 6.5k, in that moment in time i was willing to sell it for that amount for personal reasons, the buyer actually let the counter offer expire, which wasn't a big deal for me because the original price i had in mind was much higher ($xx,xxx) and honestly was bit regretting making such a low counter since i really liked the name and saw great potential in it.

A couple of days after my counter offer expired got an offer for 6.5k from the same person, i could be that guy and send the domain to auction or quote a higher price but i'm a men of my word and after some research i thought that i knew who the enduser was (actually was right on the spot) and it would be used for XR which i support all innovations in this industry and love to help it grow since i see great potential and can see XR helping lot's of people in many types of areas, so accepted the offer.

Funny a while back couldn't picture me selling this domain name for a lower amount then 10k and had a project in mind to develop the domain name but it just goes to show it's all about timing.

Been receiving some interesting offers on my XR names this couple of months but received a mid $xxx for one of them recently which i'm almost absolutely sure it's from a well known XR company, i quoted a high price (it's high at least for this stage since XR is still in it's infancy stage IMO) haven't heard back from them but since then been seeing high conversion of traffic for that domain compared to past reports.

I left some space for negotiation but won't sell this one for lower then mid $xx,xxx (on a good day) :xf.grin:.

A great person once told me "You can be flexible but never second doubt yourself" greatest advice i ever received.

PS: @Hugo_Strange you did very good research i was still waiting for the sale to appear on namebio and you already had reported it here (y)
