If you don't specify when payment is due at the start of the auction, you should give the winning bidder a minimum of 5 business days... 24 hours is just not enough without warning.

When I post an auction, I always state that payment is due within 3 days of auction close.

Please do not sell over your high bidder.

That would be the appropriate thing to do since private bids should not be taken during an auction, but let's give the original winner a fair chance.... the auction just ended yesterday.
