I am looking to sell my blog and would be interested in anyone's opinion of price on the domain name.

The site is getting about 1000 unique visitors per month and about $25 per month with Adsense.

Any thoughts on what I should be asking for would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Yeah, that price was completely worthless. My guess would be about high $XXX due to the PR5, and the revenue.

i like your site, i'd bid on it if you were selling it.
but the traffic and income are poor. if you promote it more you'd be able to sell it for more.

i'd appraise it at.
income : $25 x 10 = 250$
content: $2 x original article
domain: 50$
PR: 50$

mid $xxx

Why sell it at all if you are only getting 20 times your monthly revenue? Unless you need the money, keep it, as you will just get that much money before too long anyway.

Your blog is worth $12,419.88.

Interesting tool. I think for smaller blogs (like this one), there is no way they will find anyone to pay them $12,500. He only earns $25/month in adsense..

But for the largest blogs, the actual value might be closer to what this tool suggests, due to 'critical mass' factors.

For example : http://www.windsofchange.net ($800,000) and http://www.michellemalkin.com ($2,800,000) might actually be able to fetch such prices, and possibly *could* earn adsense revenue of thousands of dollars per month....

I agree. The tool is a very hypothetical analysis for smaller blogs. But, one of those things you bookmark.

I almost forgot... the tool is based on the value of the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal, estimated to be between $25 - $50 million. So, the tool places a value on the number of links that your blog has compared to Weblogs, Inc. at the time of purchase.

Another reason this tool inflates the value of blogs is that the Weblogs purchase price includes buying the brand name of Weblogs and even some of the management and technical talent.

These factors are components of the price, which are not applicable to all blogs.
