Earlier this week I bought a website and the domain was registered at Go Daddy so I needed to register there.

When I looked at the search bar I looked at the extenstions and I saw .jobs I have never heard of this extension before.

How old is it and is it going to be worth anything?

I'ts been around for around a year and a half if I remmember correctly. I tried registering hard.jobs and payed 160 dollars. They reviewed it, kept 40 dollars, and refunded my 120. They only want businesses. So IMO, it's a horrible failure of a domain ext.

You cannot register anything under .jobs.
It must match your company name. So it's quite restrictive.
It must be next to impossible to sell. Quite a pointless TLD.

.jobs TLD is designed specifically for companies who have a HR department. It is only allotted for corporations for this intended use. They decline 90% of the apps sent their way because no one reads the requirements. It is complicated and silly and I agree, a waste of a TLD.
