We currently run an online funny pictures / videos blog with over 300 posts, loosely focused around the online game World of Warcraft.

Due to rising personal commitments and recent sickness, I am no longer able to invest the time I would like into the site.

Although the site is not currently earning huge amounts at this stage, this can mostly be attributed to my admittedly poor monetization efforts thus far.

If required, I would also be willing to continue posting new content on the site on a semi-regular basis post sale. There are also a few occasional co-contributors, as well as user submitted content.

Hi, the website isn't loading for me... must be down?

lol... talk about worst possible timing >.<

Our host moved our server from 1 rack to another and somehow that killed VMWare...

Although they swear black and blue that nothing they did would have changed anything, it still doesn't change the fact that I was tinkering about trying to get it working for 6 @#%*ing hours before it just magically starts moting away again on its own... grr...

Anyway, that once in a blue moon perfectly timed egg-on-my-face event is now over and done with.

Let me know if there is any other troubles ^.^

Because Google analytics has been being wierd (nfi why, just wasn't tracking everything), I've been using a little advertising box by project wonderful for traffic tracking. I consider it the first tracking software ever developed that pays you for using it :P

Anyway, link is here:
Project Wonderful - advertise on WoW Fail Blog Footer Ad!

It shows uniques and page views for the last month. The massive wtf-dip in traffic is due to the previously mentioned VMWare melt down.

On a side note, you may notice I have some of the other creatives on the site via PW, but as the CPM was crap, I've kinda downplayed it in the rotator.

I've been meaning to get around to adding other banners in the main rotators to get a better overall CPM, but time & energy have both been sorly lacking for the last few <length of time removed to prevent pointing out my lazyness>.

Also, someone asked me for the starting price in the auction... my lack of knowing exactly what it is worth is the main reason I haven't mentioned one. I've had some offer $300, others have pinned the value at $600-$700 - some say more, some say less.

In the end, your sincerity and future intentions for the site will be just as big a factor as the offer its self. I know that's vague, but hey.. I'd rather sell it to the right guy for less than the wrong guy for more (well, unless it was a lot more :p).

oh, and I'm also accepting private bids via messages, etc, if you're that way inclined (as long as no admins have an issue w/ this for any strange reason :-/).

Lets the games begin!

UPDATE: I made a thread over here asking for evaluations on the site: http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/589545-wowfailblog-com-i-have-no-idea.html

Estimates came back at between $300 to $500, which sounds pretty fair to me.

On that note, I guess the following makes sense:

Starting BID: $300
BIN: $500

Increments: $25
Auction End Date: Friday, June 26th
Transaction To Be Completed By: Tuesday, June 30th

This will mean that it should all be done and dusted by the end of the month at the latest.

Hi Nick,

Revenue is made from a few sources - Adsense, ProjectWonderful, & BannerConnect, although last night I was doing some tweaks and added MediaShakers & GlobalInteractive creatives into the mix to see how it goes.

I've sent you a PM back with those answers :)

~Adam.

Btw, does anyone else get that darn 'server is too busy' message like every other page load?

Hey CT, did you have any trouble seeing the Google analytics stats?

I added nick and it's giving him all kinds of grief :-/

UPDATE: Google loves me!

Page rank has been updated... WoWFailBlog.com is now a PR4 site!
Most of the pages also have page rank, which is kinda cool.

Another Update:

Hi everyone,

I'd like to announce that I am canceling the auction as a friend of mine approached me and offered to help run the site, which resolves the 'no time' issue.

Thanks to all who expressed interest in the site and best wishes for the future.

Adam.
