What is this frenzy for .ws domains, everyone is getting one.

Man its nothing special, but they will probably be worth something when everyone buying like crazy.

This is how I see it.

The .ws extension is good for search engine keyword domains. If you want a good keyword domain to use for a traffic feeder site, buy a .ws. Usually the com, net, org, info and sometimes the .us are taken. .biz is not good at all. Next, I would grab the .ws.

I picked up some great keyword ws domains and have done very well with them.

But keyword domains, does allways look more serius even what extention.

cmos, I would have to say that the text in the domain is important for Google. If I search for matepal personals or for matepal totally free personals for american singles the first results to appear are NOT my site matepal.com. If I search for matepal then I see matepal.com appear first.

Google search is depended on your title not your domain. If you search matepal.com then you will get only your stie. If your title contains exactly "matepal totally free personals for american singles" and you search exactly that phrase, then your site will appear first, as it is mostly depended on the title of the page.

I also got multiplayer.ws for sale if anybody wants to buy.

That's exactly what I was referring to.

My site is matepal.com and the title is "Totally Free Personals For American Singles"

If you search for matepal then my site comes up first in the list.

If you search for Totally Free Personals For American Singles it does not.

If you search for matepal Totally Free Personals For American Singles it does not.

It does appear to be that the domain is relevant.

This is A old thread ,2004, but .ws ,.cc .tv .fm .am and all the other ccTLDs used for other meanings are increasing in value
