.ws transfer

I am transferring some .ws domains to godaddy.

Apparently .ws do not need AUTH CODES if they are older domains but newer ones have AUTH CODES (according to my current registrar)

There may not be many folks transferring .ws out there, but if you have, do share your experience.

Just to add to that...

Has anyone transferred names into Godaddy without AUTH CODES for .ws or any other extension? I am talking to my account manager but no info yet..

I tried to transfer some .ws names out of GD a while back and was unsucessful - was told they could not be transferred?
Are you sure you can leave once they come in? - sounds like a Hotel California :)

Maybe you tried to transfer within the 60 day restriction.

From website.ws faq:

Can I transfer my domain to another registrar?

Yes, .WS domain transfers may take place in accordance with the "GDI Transfer Policy".
Please contact the registrar you would like to transfer to for instructions on how to proceed.

Actually .ws can be transferred in and out of registrars (its a new thing). I was able to transfer one of them into Godaddy with the AUTH CODE.

My problem is current registrar does not have AUTH CODES for the rest of my .ws (several years old) and apparently according to them older .ws domains don' t have AUTH CODES.. (something haven't heard before). Not having AUTH CODES is causing a problem to transfer into Godaddy..

I have escalated the issue at Godaddy, let me see what I find out...
