I have reggd 10 .name domains and have gotten mixed reactions on value and potential. My position is to not be concerned w/ todays whse value or opinions. Type in a .name address, and it pops right up w/IE. Good, short keyword, good fit for ext, very good name to market DN's w/. It's a gamble, but IMO, worth the risk, particularly w/ good key's.

it really depends on the future of .name

Hold onto to it for a few years. Either you'll lose a few year's reg fee or cash in on a nice domain

The current viewpoint of the .name have been mostly negative. I personally think its a horrible extension. My guess is there wont be any major .name websites being developed anytime soon with the many other alternative extensions out there.

how much does the value goes for technology.name / business.name / websites.name or vip.name ???

well, those are not my domains, just need some opinion if it is worth mid $xxx value or low $1xxx value for those names only.
