Hi, I have the x.net domain of a game whose game main domain is x.com. I want to open a forum about the game on the X.net domain.

Would it be a legal problem?

If its trademarked yes unless you get special permission from the trademark holder. Avoid doing this in the future as its viewed as cyber squatting when you get other extensions of an existing product, developed site, well known entity or product etc. If the name could be applied to many other things, niches, other industries you might have a leg to stand on. But since you are talking about a fansite of an existing game pretty sure you need to be careful.
