.tv Would "concept" selling work?

i am trying to get around full blown development- what do you think about conceptual platforms-
take my pavilion.tv- some will say, why did you buy that???

now, say i had a logo, site template and site concept made up- and i had it on my own site, not at pavilion.tv- kinda like a ebrochure-
even tho it wasnt a full fledged site, would it be more appealing to see a physical logo, site design, and the concept element for the site, so someone felt they were buying into the idea and future of the name, and not just the domain?-

am i explaining this right?

some people do 1/1000 of that with thumbnail word logos on ebay.

it certainly would help. if i'm regging a word i'm always thinking logo, aesthetics, brandability and whether it rolls of the tongue. others may not and you may be able to lead them better to the vision.

You are explaining a fundamental operation in the business world, and yes "concept" selling works. The trouble you are going to run into is explaining how valuable the .TV market will be to a prospective client. You should have the entire business plan mapped out like you stated; a logo, template site, multiple venture ideation, things that can explain why this name/business would be valuable. Some people know what they would do with "pavilion.tv" when they make you an offer, but a lot of investors are just looking for something solid to put their money into.

so, you see pavilion.tv and think, ok, single dictionary word- big deal- oh hey, it is a noun- ok we are on to something-

but i show you a cool logo and page template to the cool new internet type video cafe- the place where videoheads gather- at the pavilion- to videochat- and they can also rent out the pavilion- because it would be set for video confrencing, or other business services- great place to have a video family reunion, cuz everyone meets at the pavilion-
or that it could be used for sports videos, etc... and, can also take the shape of the online place for live concert streams- a concert pavilion-
does it then become more viable-



after that little bit, did it "seem" like, k, we can really gs with this site, or did it not change your view at all- i have to know if this cuz i see this as a huge opportunity, especially in the concert arena- but if i am not communicating that, i am bac to square one

I completely understand your point of view. You have a good name, you want to communicate your personal business ideas for it through a few different mediums(logos, template site, etc). The hardest part is going to be choosing the most business viable concept, explaining how .TV comes into play with this, and then eventually finding a an investor that really likes the model and wants to run with it.

Your idea of the video pavilion site is a little out there and would probably take a ton of branding for people to acknowledge that concept. The live feed of concerts can possibly run into a ton of TM/copyright issues.

Either way you are selling a name, and a business idea associated with it, but the name is the most important part.

yeah! something like that- but they have it on pharmacy.com- i am trying to avoid hosting each name like that- hmmmm, and with that, you cant have it parked either right? i would also supply an actual template, kinda to say, here is your stared package- just get content-

oh, what to do, what to do!

personally i wouldnt be more interested if i saw a logo, only a full developed traffic website with domain included will get me more interested.
