Hello guys,

I grabbed worldwide.bz after some research on the bz that can work for business/es.

In fact I was thinking about developing it into something related to worldwide business/es but I just can't get it right..I can't find the right idea

Do you think its value will increase in the future? worth the developing time? what I can make out of it?

The idea I get now is to make a worldwide business directory..but I don't know how to work out this, a search by country on different businesses?

Any idea or help would be appreciated.

If your looking for development ideas, maybe 'Appraisals' is the best place for your thread

So do you think its worth developing it into a business directory or something?

I think it would do very good as a business directory.

Thanks all. Since I have spare time to spend on development, and you're encouraging me to do this, I'll go with this.

Thanks stigmata for the link!

So what I figure until now: A searchable directory, where the user type a keyword and a specified country (where his keyword/business is listed) then get results about this business in his own country.

But this idea has a few problems..I can't know that many businesses in all countries (?). I can't know how or which keywords are added to the search (?). I might need a search by category as well (where it includes all business categories) but another problem occurs, how results should be listed by location?

As you see I have the idea but I don't know how to get around it

Maybe you dont have to dig quite that deep

Consider this:

There are Thousands of BX and B2B sites out there for specific industries. Find the ones that are 'specific' to an industry or type of service. Like Importing, Exporting, Refinery supplies, etc..

Create a 'General' B2B site, which simply links to the 'specific' sites.

For instance, have an 'Oil' section.

(menu) OIL
(menu options)
Refineries - (links to a site listing refineries)
Equipment - (links to a site offering related equipment)
Spills & Eco cleanup - (links to a site that specializes in spills)

It's still quite a project, but not as bad as doing all the work yourself. You'd basically be providing a broader listing or directory.

So you say, I don't have to include any geographic search or listing?

Categories is a problem too. Can you refer me to some page which includes these categories so that I can copy them?

So basically I do need:

1. General B2B site, specific categories.
2. Listing of Categories
3. Listing of SubCategoies
4. Businesses in each subcategory.

Plus adding some features like where business is located, a little of description, a link to the business and maybe an ability add new businesses or suggest categories.. am I going in the right side or not?

It depends on what depth of support/service your looking to provide.

Which depends? Sorry, the listings, or the features or what?

Rather than clutter the 'Appraisal' section any further, I'll shoot you a PM
