Worst ccTLD?

I would say .na ($2000+ to register a name). Close second is .NR (couple of hundred and you must send a cashiers check via postal mail) :alien:

What about a .com.np domain guys? Registering is impossible for people outside of nepal. But for we nepalese it's totally free.

.tv is the worst as well as the best cctld, imo. :)

Worst in the sense, unreasonable renewal fees for a list of 55,000 .tv names. Some names have renewal fee of $500,000/Yr.

Best in the sense, still there are some nice drops, and non-premium aftermarket names are left.

IMO no ccTLD is bad. Even if the country is sparsely populated, the ccTLD will still have a use. The only ccTLDs that are pointless IMO are those of unpopulated territories (.tf, .bv, ...). But other ccTLDs can never be bad IMO, even if they have a small target audience.
That is true :tu: Each country/territory has a right to its own extension so there is no worst ccTLD per se but some are clearly overpriced:
.pr Puerto Rico $1000/y
.bs Bahamas $500/y

The TLDs of sparsely populated countries with no local market will often be used as vanity most of the time.
Tuvalu (.tv) is a prime example ;)

When you think of it there are still plenty of ccTLDs that are underdeveloped (African ccTLDs in particular) where registration stats are in the 3 figure range (a handful of official sites). Success should also be measured by actual use and consumer acceptance.

As far as worst performance over the last couple of years I'd say .us and .tv.

My vote goes to TK - I *tried* to register some names with them, but the site flat out did not work. Emails went unanswered, so I expect it's all for the best I never reg'd any.

I looked at that TLD some time ago, and though "BS" was appropriate. Way overpriced.

To be honest, a lot of them arent that good looking, and the prices are even worse. I do like having variety, but Its almost like there are too many TLDs and not enough development behind the domains.
