I was using this domain as a fansite for the massively popular blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft. That MMO has millions of monthly subscribers; it's probably one of the biggest if not the biggest that exist. However, I don’t play the game anymore, so it’s now used as my personal domain name.

I’d now like to know what's the value of this domain name.

Here are the unique visitors in the last 4 month.

Note: I’ve removed the fan site approximately 6-7 months ago. Thus this traffic represent the actual unique visitors of my own useless blog (like if they wanted to read my rants :hehe. How much do you guys think it’d be worth?

Hmm,

I reread CIRA's rules (which are the manager of the .CA domain rules). And if I understood properly, it states that it's not really a problem unless the domain is misused/used to make money fraudulently (like trying to sell it overpriced to blizzard).

If I understand correctly, if someone buy it with the desire to run some fan website, and according to CIRA's rules, it would be perfectly allowed.

Anyways, the .CA domaine dispute are reviewed by independant analyst, and the fee to open an investigation is 1500$ I believe. If anyone got more information on that, that would help me too...

"3.7 Registration in Bad Faith. For the purposes of paragraph 3.1(c), a Registrant will be considered to have registered a domain name in bad faith if, and only if:

(a) the Registrant registered the domain name, or acquired the Registration, primarily for the purpose of selling, renting, licensing or otherwise transferring the Registration to the Complainant, or the Complainant’s licensor or licensee of the Mark, or to a competitor of the Complainant or the licensee or licensor for valuable consideration in excess of the Registrant’s actual costs in registering the domain name, or acquiring the Registration;

(b) the Registrant registered the domain name or acquired the Registration in order to prevent the Complainant, or the Complainant’s licensor or licensee of the Mark, from registering the Mark as a domain name, provided that the Registrant, alone or in concert with one or more additional persons has engaged in a pattern of registering domain names in order to prevent persons who have Rights in Marks from registering the Marks as domain names; or

(c) the Registrant registered the domain name or acquired the Registration primarily for the purpose of disrupting the business of the Complainant, or the Complainant’s licensor or licensee of the Mark, who is a competitor of the Registrant."

Lastly, I've originally purchased this domain name to run a fansite on WoW, not to disrupt their operation. However, I'm not sure if selling the domain could be seen as bad faith?

i think low xx mainly due to the possible TM issues that might arise with this domain
