First off, I'm from the St. Louis area.

Second, I know there aren't many people outside
Michigan and Missouri watching this year :)

Is anyone else totally blown away at what the
Cardinals are doing this year?

We are 1 win away from winning the whole thing, after
a CRAP year we've had.

ALSO,

Has the viewing audience really gone down this year?
(since no major market teams are in it?)

Curious to see if anyone with NO interest in either team is still watching...

because I watch no matter what.

I admittedly have lost interest in baseball over the years. I was a huge Braves fan but Bobby Cox has one World Series win for a team that dominated for well over a decade - pitiful IMHO.

I like watching the Astros now from time to time and I'm pulling for St. Louis in the WS, but I've watched maybe an inning or two. Last night, college football was on and our rivals lost big so that was much more interesting for me. However, it's pretty much anybody but the Yankees for me.

yeah the Braves never really took off this year.

they have some awesome young talent, and if you can hold off for a year
or 2, i think you'll be surprised at the turn around.

St. Louis would glady take Andruw Jones off your hands ;)

I wonder why it's called the World Series, when it involves anything but the "world" and a single country (ok, fine the Blue Jays in Canada too, but still...).

Anyway underdog teams are interesting to see and to win, so the Cards have had their hard work shown in post season, in spite any negative predictions

WOW.

That's all I can say.

I'm speechless (thank God I can still type though)

It feels so good to have them win one after a lot of disappointment.

WOO HOO! :)

I've had the argument with people in the past.

MLB.com even posted

'CARDS: WORLD CHAMPS'
on their website,

I had a bit of a laugh cause yanks have a short memory when it comes to them LOSING something which they should dominate in.

For their info the current WORLD CHAMPS as far as im concerned is none other than 'JAPAN' why you ask?

They won the WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC!

Japan may be the world champs to you... but I don't see them on TV every day [.. you know.. when it's baseball season..] :)
