Wordpress Vs Drupal - Which one is Best?

Hi,

I am interested in developing a huge database site. The site will contain a lot of data related to each mobile set. I will need to add the database directly to MySQL. Which CMS i should go with. Drupal or Wordpress?

I would personally pick Drupal.

I also like MODX.

I suggest you Wordpress , but both are good .

Both will access MySQL fine, but Drupal is not so messy as Wordpress and imo once you learn it, it is easier to work with.

Wordpress and Drupal is totally different CMS. Wordpress is the best for blogging, but weak in customization. Drupal is more complex CMS, you can use this CMS for tons of purpose, but this CMS is not easy to learn..

Great feedback! I am myself thinking that drupal will be easy to handle. But the learning curve is involved in it. I have been programming in wordpress from a long time but i had the complexities in its database structure.

Personally I would choose WP, its more light weight out of the box and is easier to customize and scales very well

I will go with drupal as that is what I build most of my sites on.. It can satisfy any requirements, not just blogging .. Just check the feeds module. It will make it easy for you to import the whole data into drupal.
