it can be anything brandable with the words themes, Wordpress, WP etc
but it have to make sense and be relevant!

.com only (unless its a true category killer - then it can be .org or .net)

You really need to be careful with wordpress related domains.

Wordpress recently sued domain owners who infringed on their trademark.
