Wordpress Directories Help

I am installing a different script on my Wordpress site in a subdirectory.

Since both are using seo friendly url's the subdirectory is not working properly...

Is there something I can put in my .htaccess file to solve the conflicting directories?

I remember running into a problem like this a bit ago. I was never able to get a workaround until I just made it into a subdomain once i did that x.domain.ext it worked fine after that.

Not sure if that is really something you want to do, but it will work that way.

I created a .htaccess file in my subdirectory with:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /subdirectory/

Everything seems to be working fine now.
