discuss Word.word.com....thoughts?

What is the consensus on domain names being word.word.com?
I'd be really interested in everyone's thoughts.

Well that is a sub-domain for a start, and you will lose traffic to the wordword.com domain.

I made quite a bit of money some years ago by registering names without the dot where a company used a sub-domain. I've got a radio site on kuffy.com, and I put it onto a sub-domain - radio.kuffy.com, but I registered RadioKuffy.com t protect myself.

Which reminds me, I must do something with that. It's on a shoutcast server.

You have no real control over a sub domain, if they fail your names disappear
