Is there an alternative online tool to http://wordsafety.com? Word Safety (is supposed to) check what a word means in many languages. Most words I checked were missing and the site doesn't have S.S.L. The concept is good though. Any suggestions big help. Cheers.

Interesting....i own the domain wordprodigy.com that has nothing to do with "Word Safety", but I see what you mean. I'll tell you who might know, Bob Hawkes?

Looking for a cross language online translation tool. You search a word and it cross references what that word means from all languages in the world. Another member messaged me to use Google Translate https://translate.google.co.uk/ which seems to be best solution atm. Wikipedia result came up in search about cognates https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognate which is about cognates, etymons and derivatives. It's not a solution but found a useful tool while searching: European Language Translator Map https://ukdataexplorer.com/european-translator. Rabbit hole.

Here is my limited opinion. I am conversational level in Spanish and French and understand and can read very basic Italian. They say if you are a writer to write what you know. I'd say the same for domaining. For example I would say Night School but in Spanish that would be Instituto (school) del (of the) noche (night).

I have some Spanish, Spanglish and some words as domain hacks across the dot but get very little views.

Not a great success. Pure English names in dotcoms would appear to be the most straigtforward for me. Anything else would be more difficult with fewer end users.

    K I S S makes sense in this instance.

I have never sold any other language domains so my opinion would be just that and not backed by any statistics or science.

    You have been warned lol.

    Regards,

That tool will need a huge database to be successful.
    Can you imagine, 19 languages!
And what's your objective, may I ask?
You want to develop similar tool or you're asking as a random user?

Correct. D.B. will need 456976 entries multiplied by however many languages. If English and French. 455976 English entries and 455976 French results. 455976 x 2 = 911952 database entries. 10 languages (English plus 9 languages) 455976 x 10 = 4.5 million entries.

    Ideally all major languages.

Random user. Collecting tools for bookmarks to use in research for buying 4L .com names.

You can't find such tools anywhere, unless you develop one yourself.
We have something similar, developed and functional, except that it scans for free (that can be registered @ reg fee) single-word, dictionary word, 2-L, 3-L, 4-L domains across 360 extensions, in english language. That's ~ 60000 x 360 = ?

In your own case, you only need to extract 4-L and check across the languages you're interested in. Another thing you must bear in mind is that all 4-L domains in com are registered. Aftermarket is your best bet. If the 4-L is pronounceable or premium letters, then you should be ready to cough out pretty significant amount of money.

Here is another nice tool specifically for 4-L domains:

    https://www.domainnamesoup.com/4letterdomainnames.php

You can combine letters/numbers and check if the domains are registered.
