Sold for $1.45 on ebay... :red: And the registration cost me $7.... :red: So not very good ROI, but hey, this was my first one and it's start!

Domain was Seeking*House dot com.
Starting price: $0.99.

Hmm... I think I've would manage to get at least the regfee of it. Should I set BIN when selling on ebay? Someone told me always list your domains $0.99...

Hey, you gotta start somewhere. As long as you learn from each loss you'll get better!

Agreed. As long as you learned something it was
a worthwhile experience. Good luck!

-$6 odd dollars for some wisdom is an absolute bargain, shop around dude you cannot beat that value!...wisdom is normally exceptionally costly.

Why are people congratulating someone for registering a new name and then selling it for a loss on ebay the same week?

A) Hold domains longer before trying to sell (60 day min imho)
B) Try to sell in reseller market where it's free (NP,DP, or WHT)
C) Park the name to see if you can generate some revenue and stats (sedo is fine)

Selling a new domain on Ebay is about the worst move you could have made.

Oh and lastly...try your hand at development...

Honestly, eBay is a horrible place to sell. The last time I attempted to sell there I did in fact sell - ironically a name that ended up in One Ugly Domain, Casino.rw. Registration fees on it were 225 Euro and I started it at 99 cents no reserve I think, and it ended up after fees not even reaching reg fees, and given most other casino.ext sales being thousands of dollars, I personally thought it was undersold quite a bit.

That said, eBay MIGHT be a place to BUY domains, but generally most of the names listed there aren't that great. I would only attempt sell on eBay an obviously 5-figure or higher name as eBay is all about your domain getting seen, and names like those really attract attention there. A name like seekinghouse.com is going to get lost in the sea of lower-priced names there and simply put, while it's not in my opinion a superb name, it coul have sold for more elsewhere for sure.

It took me 9 months to make my first sale and now I make a living doing this, so have patience, try hard, and don't give up! :)

Well, to be honest (not that i'm not the other times :) ) ebay is only for big and valuable names

With low - medium value names, the only winner is ebay with their listing fees
The category is OVERCROWDED and still there are people keep trying
Also the risk factor is high, if you close your sale with paypal you may have serious problems (paypal is known for the absence of protection for virtual goods)

So i would advice you to start bargain the names here in NP or other forums related with names. With the experience you will get here you will be able to hit a bigger sale the other time

Leave others deal with epray .... sorry ebay i wanted to say
