I myself have a linksys router. If you are linking a couple apartments you may want to buy antenna boosters if you do get a linksys router as when a computer is far away the signal tends to drop off and on.

I personally use a standard linksys router.

Works decently.

I have a Wireless G Linksys router and it goes throw walls and works fine. My parents' computers are upstairs and on the other side of a pretty nice size house and they work fine. I do not have any boosters on it- never had heard of such a thing till now.

I have a linksys wireless g/b both at home and at two business locations. Very easy to administer and reliable. I have a Hawking booster antenna that helps strengthen my signal to some points in the house shielded by metal ducting and appliances , but haven't seen how far it will go. It's about 10" long and is shaped like a popcicle stick mounted on a swivel base.

They do make a new model routher that extends distance, and I've also seen repeaters advertised to extend distance.

Just setup a Linksys router with a booster for my GF and it works wonders. I got one for Christmas that I will setup in my dorm room once I go back.

Linksys and DLink both work great! Why settle for anything less than the best? :)

netgear has been good for me on one pc but bad on another, both by the same manufacturer, same wireless card, interesting

I would go with Linksys.

I have one each in the Coffee House, Home and Office, never a problem. GREAT for business.

I can not say the same for the US Robotics or the Netgear I had in the Coffee House. They both had issues and support was poor for US Robotics as well.Bad for business.

Also the Linksys(with the "One Push" set up) is easy to set up.
