2K bid already in the pocket. Sedo has entered some extra info for IDN domains (This is a Multi-Lingual (IDN) Domain ). But I can't see why somebody will pay that amount for this domain....

Am I wrong about it ? Do people pay this for a non existing word (or is it in an existing word for wine in a non-english language )?

As far as I know wíne is not a word in any language (that uses the Roman alphabet).
So yeah, I agree it is not worth that much.

My keyboard's set up to do many different languages, including Welsh where it is a letter, so it's easy for me.

But on an English/American Windows keyboard, you hold down ALT and press 237 on the keypad for an 'í'/i acute.

Well...or the buyer doesn't know what an IDN is...or it's gonna be used for some spoofing...

ah... phishing. makes sense I guess, but there isn't anything like that at wine.com except perhaps if they put up a wine purchasing site in order to capture credit card numbers/dates and such.

which was more or less parallel with a similar discussion on dnf, there have been several members who notified sedo about these sales before they ended and they did cancel the auction for físh.com but they haven't taken proper measures yet to prevent new auctions of this type. Actually, a few weeks ago they didn't even put up a notice when a name was an idn, them doing so is a result of the discussion of dnf. It's odd I haven't seen a response from sedo on this forum since this is obviously not the first topic.
