Windows XP File Hosting..

Could i be sued by microsoft if i hosted windows xp versions and files, but offered them for backup use. I will not provide serials or such.

Microsoft owns the copyright to Windows XP. Unless you have the company's prior written permission to distribute the software, you are infringing upon that copyright. Yes, you can be sued for copyright infringement.

I think that that would be "warez", which is illegal. Even linking to other sites that host warez is considered shady.
