I'm not entirely sure you understand how TMs work. The TM doesn't merely apply to the .com, but rather any extension or any use of the word in a way that infringes on a registered TM.

If there were no TM issues, then maybe high $xx, but as is $0. Sorry

Win32 is really nice if you do not get sue. You can write about win 95, the stuff in the 1990s as an educational tool. I am sure it will be worth more than xx,xxx if you have real contents to write about.

But I am not sure if Microsoft will take it away. If they do, yes its worthless.

Win32 might be a Microsoft TM (somebody could look this up), but Microsoft uses Win32 more as a codename than a marketing punch. Assuming you held on to Win32.info long term, then from today until the year 2158, I am 99% certain Microsoft won't lose a single dime as a result of your owning Win32.info. Though I don't support these sorts of registrations from a moral stance, I wouldn't feel at all concerned about WIPO giants potentially knocking on my door.

That being said, Win32.info sounds like a pretty suitable domain name for a Windows hacker site (hacker in the positive sense, i.e. geek/explorer). I appraise the domain at low-mid $XX.

Yeah, it's highly unlikely that Microsoft would WIPO you. They may however simply ask you to give them the domain and if you failed to do so would cause them to act.

Furthermore, because of this thread they now have proof that you had knowledge that it was a TM of theirs.

it doesnt really matter how MSFT is using WIN32 - they have a TM and they can get this domain at any given moment if they wish...

I dont think you'll get anything from it if you'd try to sell the domain on auction, maybe low $x if you're lucky..

A better Idea, if it gets some type of good traffic like 50-60 unique per day, you don't have to drop it or develop it. Just use it to forward to your other sites or sell it as advertising services forwarding to a technology site.

Weather or not you decide to name your dog win32, you still got the idea for the name from someone else. If you get traffic, it is becuse your domain name is a popular microsoft program.

The fact is you intentionally registered this name to make money off of somebody elses idea, and that is wrong. I hope you put a lot of time and money into developing this name and microsoft comes and takes it away.
