You made a quick profit - so, win. What someone asks for a domain, what it's worth and what they will get are three different things.

That's just the way it goes. You took the decision to sell/flip the domain and made a profit.

Someone sold the undisclosed name to you for $120.00 and presumably made a few dollars on the sale.

You then made a sale quickly for $400.00 which was $280.00 more than you paid.

No one else who perused the auction in which you acquired the name thought it was worth more than the original $120.00

You seemingly achieved the two objectives you had, you won the name auction and then you made a quick and profitable flip.

My only thought regarding the new sale price of $150K is , did you fully research the name and see all possible markets and uses for the name?

Ok so you made a profit and the new owner has it for sale for 150k. Now he didn't sell it for that could be his asking price only. Maybe he has too much money and inflated the price to a number he will never get.

I think I've got a name listed for £100,000 - it's not worth that, but I like the name, and I don't really want to sell it. Everything has its price though, and at £100k I might be tempted. :)

For me it's a Win Win, because you have made profit in a month. It's a good margin profit % in a short period.

This has happened to me in past where I have sold domains in the $x,xxx range and buyer tries to resell for $xxx,xxx.. after 2-3 years I was able to get 2 of the domains back as they did not pay renewal fees and I had placed a back order. I resold again in $x,xxx range lol

That is a great attitude regarding your sale and profit and lessons for your future sales.

Hoteloption.com

Hoteloption.com .. if it was HotelOptions.com, the domain would be very valuable. I don't think HotelOption.com is worth even close to $150000.

This person has listed dnspecialists.com for 18895 .. let's just say he's bad at pricing domains

You should be happy you got $400 for it. lol

This is the reality, you bought the name for $120 and sold it for $400 just be happy, if one day that name sold for $150,000 and become a billion dollar business then be proud!!! Because you know that once in your life you owned it. (y)
