Funny thing is, years back when I first read this in the bible, I thought this wouldn't be in my lifetime. :-/

Isn't it already the case for bank employees in Australia ?

I would run for the hills!
There is NO WAY I'd let them do that....
Imagine if a terrorist found a way to manipulate
the already implanted chips collectively, then what? D-:

There are too many questions regarding privacy to just say "yes or no" to this type of question. However, for certain jobs, such as military frontline positions, money transports, professional scuba divers, mountain rescue etc. i can see this to be a useful tool IF it can be picked up with a GPS locator. But, that would require a power source, wouldn't it?
There will need to be laws in place where such a device can only be utilized/used/tracked if a person is in danger, missing or in other imminent danger. Then, if my job requires it, basically for my own safety, i'd consider it.

Might be no choice eventually. First stage is the 'cashless' society. That's well in hand and a few bankers have said it should be in place by 2012 (ooh that date keeps cropping up!). I personally think that's why crime has been allowed to run rampant in our society - gives them the excuse they need to get rid of cash. These ID cards coming in are the precursors, but of course criminals will steal them and people will keep losing them. That's when they'll use the 'solution' of the implants.

At the moment they've been chipping Altzheimers patients; they are pimping it for diabetics and others for it's 'medical' benefits. Young people in Spain and Japan volunteered so they could get perks in the clubs they visit. So much easier not to take cash or credit cards, just wave your hand and you get access. A barcode scans you when you order drinks and it's taken direct from your bank account. It's made to seem 'cool', because they can't force us to have it, we have to want it.

Fear is the main thing they use: currently they are talking about the benefits of having your children chipped so if a paedophile gets them they'll be found quickly. More and more jobs will require it - allegedly for 'security' reasons - and prisoners will also be first in line. Nobody cares about them, so there won't be uproar if they start chipping the prison population - they'll tell us it's for our safety. I'll bet they offer to knock a few years off their sentence if they volunteer to get chipped and many prisoners will go for it.

As we've seen, the chips are easy to hack and steal identities, so crime and terrorist prevention is not really a priority. They just use that as the excuse to make us comply.

Those of us who hold out will find we can't access our bank accounts without a lot of hassle and even buying food becomes difficult. Everyone else waves their hand over the scanner, but Refuseniks have to have our funds verified in some other way. Maybe the shops will say it's too much trouble for them. Most people will get worn down by this, and figure if others have been chipped it can't be that bad, and it'll make life easier. A certain number will still refuse, and I think they'll make it mandatory at that point. We really won't be able to 'buy and sell' or do anything much really, without this 'mark'.

The more people who know what's going on and can stand up and say NO, the more chance we can stop it. OTOH if it's been 'prophesized' - which it seemingly has - maybe it can't be stopped. Dunno.

Ah, but would you get that sweet little baby in your avatar chipped? Many apologists for these chips are adamant that within 20 years all babies will be chipped as a matter of course.

It was actually Revelations that got me into the whole 2012 thing (and there's apparently a passage in The Book Of Daniel which gives an allotted number of years and deducts a number of years. Was a Muslim who pointed out it came to 2012!). I'm not at all religious but I consider the dude who wrote Revelations one hell of a psychic. You couldn't possibly get a better match for the Mark Of The Beast than these Verichips, because eventually we really won't be able to do anything without them, certainly not 'buy and sell'. They can of course be 'turned off' which would turn you into a 'non-person'. As we saw in those clips, they know how to switch aggression on and off in animals, and we have the same centres in our brains - not a stretch to think they could manipulate our behaviour in the same manner. Turn a protesting crowd docile, turn an army mad with rage.

Scary stuff! I've definitely come to believe that something 'Dark' is coming our way in the very near future.

I won't let the government chip me, no one can control me. Chipping people is inhumane.

I would never do it... and if it came down to not having a choice... I would either live the rest of my life on the lam... or die. I will not be a pet of the governement.

Nope,

Not in this lifetime.

There's about a 0.01% chance of this happening in my lifetime, i'm 23 :)

I am sorry to say that we already are pets of the government. Just think of the lost rights and freedoms we used to enjoy not long ago. "Which freedoms" I hear you say. Well that's the problem - few seem to complain or even be aware.
In the very next few year you won't be able to travel without being fingerprinted for life... it's already happening to foreign visitors to the US and other countries have followed suit. You are next in line.
Not speculation - just the hard facts. It is very clear which direction we are heading for.

I also fear that in a few years (closer than you think) chipping could become mandatory. As usual 'they' will go after children first (require by law that every newborn be chipped). As usual, History repeats itself, few will resist and most will realize when it's too late. Actually they will not even realize because they think they are still free. That's the beauty of the system.
Sad but true.

Whatever happens we are cooked.

Sadly, you are right! We are pets.

Anyone with a cellphone, a gps, or a credit/debit card may as well consider themselves already chipped. If you have your pet chipped... you're pretty much chipped too... chances are, your pet will be with you... maybe not at all times, but most of the time.

I also love the way they play on parents fears by seducing them into fingerprinting their young children as a way of protecting them. The truth is, it's all a ploy to get them into the system while they technically have no right to speak for themselves.

We are on a downward spiral... with no end in sight.

besides my dream from my childhood was to be a cyborg, so i would like to have some microchips inside me in anycase.

Very interesting thread :tu:

You have only got to look at your shopping loyalty cards *do you have them in the U.S??* anyway most shops in the uk have them. They make you believe you are just getting money back, rewards etc but they know your every move, what you buy when where etc...
