Awhile ago I saw some folks offering to build mobi sites for around $50 but I can't find them anymore.
I have about 20 mobi names I registered awhile back and I registered them because I had ideas on developing them. I don't really plan on selling them because I'm not interesting in making any money, I just want to have them out there and hope that people with cell phones find them useful.
For example, the first 3 I want to develop are custombuilders.mobi (listing of custom builders by location), helpsupport.mobi (listing of support email/numbers for companies), and activeadult.mobi (listing of senior citizen services/communities/etc).
Basically I want these to be like directories. It would be cool to be able to enter/modify each listing via the sql DB, and even cooler for each client to have access to modify their listing in case info changes (i.e. their address, phone number)
I'm just not familiar with mobi standards and where to start. I've built webpages before. If there's a .mobi source code I can view, I can easily learn from that.
Or if I can pay anyone to do it and show me how so I can maintain it in the future. The hardest part for me right now is learning what the first step is. I already have a hosting site since I have a couple of other personal websites up.
I looked through mobisitegalore.com and it looks like a good way to setup a simple mobi website but I don't think it goes into how to setup php/sql.
