Does parking a domain effect eventual pagerank or seo ?
ie if you or a previous owner parks a domain will it have any effect (good or bad) on the way a search engine will "see it"
both if it is developed into a website and/or left parked ??

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Potentially, yes. The spiders will have to read all new content once developed, which takes time to get fully indexed. Also, make sure there is no blacklist on the domain, which will make matters much worse.

what are the best resources to, and info on, and finding out, if domains have blacklist history ?

I've noticed that domains parked with trafficz tend to hold their pagerank after the updates.
Don't know why that is as trafficz use a yahoo feed :)
But most parked sites will lose their PR with most parking sites.

TrafficZ is one of the few providers that lets you add content to your pages, perhaps that's why...

so that the spiders have to read some new content,,,

that will make no difference. Google knows the parked sites content.. and they probably crawl several times per day anyway with popular sites.
