wiki.com is shuting down?

I got an email:

"Dear Wiki.com User:

As some of you may have heard from the grapevine, Wiki.com is shutting down by January 25th, 2007. But have no worries: your content is safe and you will be able to continue as before without a hitch. MindTouch and John Gotts, the owner of Wiki.com, have reached an agreement to transfer all wiki sites and accounts to MindTouch. We have already begun the backup and provisioning processes to effect a seamless migration to our hosting facilities, which will occur over the next few days. The agreement does not include keeping the domain name; MindTouch is only taking over the wiki sites and their accounts."

Apparently he has a lease to own deal on the domain. He is leasing it with the option to buy it in six months. I guess it didn't work out:

Yep a complete waste of space wiki.com poorly executed and relying on user content....just like weblo.com....both doomed to failure.
