A nice and short one:).

wifi (usually wi-fi) is a type of wireless networking that is gaining popularity.

Also taken in .net, .biz, and .us.

Any opinions?

Contact hardware manufacturers like LinkSys, Netgear to see if they are interested. You might be able to sell the domain for good cash and hardware!

$500+

Ummm,.....ok...Firstly, you can NOT use this domain, without the express permission of "Wi-Fi Org". I know this because I am in talks with them atm.

Therefore, unless this is given you first, you can not do anything with the site.

Secondly, they will want one or both of the following. Complete TM control and verbal confirmation on the site that WiFi belongs to them and second, a royalty revenue % of business done on the site.

So, as many say to me...atm, $0.0. not even reg fee :(

how can WiFi be trademarked?
It's like trademarking "Toilet Paper" or "Apple" (the fruit) or even "Shoe" .

Yea, that is stupid. How can a non-profit org trademark something?

I dont suppose not having the "-" in the middle of Wi-Fi helps any?

Agree: http://www.wi-fi.org/OpenSection/index.asp

Link: www.uspto.gov

I think there will be probable โ„ข issues here, and the "perception" of this, as well, will keep valuations in resale low, IMHO.
I don't believe it's worthless, however ... as someone might want to bring it to the next level (and negotiate with "The Wi-Fi Alliance"). $75 - $125+, IMHO.
Best of Luck.

Sorry for the delay ... your #1 Namepros has been just a little bit busy!! ;)
I'm sure SY4 was directing that one comment at me, Ogre and trying to be constructive ... so no worries. Hope all is well, and you're having a great domain Thursday.
See you soon. :)
