Hi all, I was reluctant to post a welcome thread here because at first, I really was not sure of whether I would stick around or not, you know, this being my first domain forum and all. But having been here for a few days, having communicated with some amazing members via Pm and the Chat rooms, and after buying a few great domains at amazing prices, I think it's safe to say that I'll be sticking around. It's a good healthy community, and by what I've seen, while the domain industry can be a cut-throat one, people here for the most part care about each other and that's rare to find.
Having said all that, and in case you're still reading, here's a little about me as I guess that's what this section is all about, introductions. My name's Joe Boston (everyone calls me Joe or Boston β or boston joe?), no i'm not originally from Boston (lived there for years though β GO RED SOX!), born in the UK, raised in the States and now semi retired at 43 on the Island of Cyprus (north.) though I travel back home to Boston a lot and maintain a semi full time job. I guess once you start working in a field you love, itβs hard to let go, so I donβt ever see myself as someone who will consider retiring fully, simply because I enjoy what I do too much.
I'm a father to 2 angelic twin girls (7yr olds) and husband to a loving dictator wife! I bought my first domains for a company I worked at over a decade ago, and it has been a hobby since. Nothing serious, I own less than 40 names and develop most everything i own, either flip full sites or keep them for their rev.
I've been Cancer free for 17years now (Beat advanced stage2 squamous cell carcinoma - I'm a dragon slayer, no kidding.)
To sum it up: Cancer slaying father of 2 angels and husband to a loving handful of a wife, I'm also a viciously competitive business minded individual who over the years has learned to live by the rules of Bushido. Don't let that fool you into thinking I wouldn't bite your ear off ala-tyson if you compete with me for a specific niche I depend on.
