Why is my PR going up and down?

Well I opened a new forum a couple weeks ago.

And yesterday when the PR updated it went from 0 to 1. I was happy as it was an improvement. My blog and TH.com also improved. Blog 1-3 and TH.com 1-2.

But sometimes throughout yesterday it would go back to what it used to be.

It seems to be at the updated rank today but I was wondering what was up?

And I'd also like to announce my permanent (hopefully :p) return to NamePros! After a few disputes I'm back and I hope to not get into any tricky situations again lol.

The toolbar update hasn't happened yet, only updates in some datacenters. The changes you have seen could have been because you were looking at different datacenters each time.

I checked your site's PR and it shows a 1 in 7 datacenters and still 0 in the others.

Yeah happned to me for one of my sites.

PR went from 0 to 2 and then back to 1 and now again 0.

I am getting anxious.

If this is like the dance of a month or so ago it takes about a week to stablize. My SERPS for 1 site went sort of like 3, 7, 18, 2, 12, 4, 5 until settling at 1 for secondary phrase and 3 for my primary phrase and is rock solid for now but who knows with the bigG.

I hope to see 1 PR6 when this shakes out.

Taylor, but how come google dance is affecting your pr while it's affecting my listings? in the morning (my local time) i got about 125,000 and in the afternoon i got listing of 103,000 or even lower, but still my pr is unaffected. so it could be different effects on different web sites? one domain got affected in p.r. and the other in listings?

google dance is An informal term created to explain the phenomenon of frequent shifts in rankings while Google updates its database.

like everybody is saying and what i have seen in the news, google is updating the PR right now and they are in a process of doing so ... so it can be a error there

Are there regular posts on the forums....one of the reasons for loss of PR is less frequent updation compared to other similar sites...
