Why hasn't .WS taken off?

I've really started liking this extension lately, and seems to me that the memory power of "Dot Web Site" is a winner (I know, that's not what it stands for, but come on it's pretty natural).

I've started searching, and quite a few great names are available. Obviously development is the key to all extensions as -db- has pointed out in severeal threads. Is it that not many people develop? and it's easier just to collect names and park 'em?

I've seen several members here that specialize in one extension, but I don't recall anyone specializing in .ws :-/

Any thoughts?

I remember a .ws question being posted about 2 years ago and got about 5 replies...few ws owners...

This question has generated a higher interest level now...maybe 2 years from now....there will be more owners talking about why it hasn't taken off...

Personally I haven't developed any .ws myself...maybe I should.....

.ws is expensive. I would rather have .cc which seems to be better
