Why does my site crash?

Hi

When I place sedo tracker code into my site html,it crashes my site!? why and how do I fix it??

This is what I see when I put in the tracker code and then visit my site..

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in index.tpl.php line 341]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'var' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 580) in /home2/justuplo/public_html/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

Does somebody know how I can get around this

It's conflicting with your template engine, Smarty. What does the tracking code look like?

Mholt thanks for the reply dude. Itlooks like java script? I'm not fussed anymore as I'm not going to use the tracker anymore.

Smarty is pretty buggy, you should look into a custom templating engine that is more light weight, there are tutorials all over the place

Sounds like you need to surround the javascript with {literal} and {/literal}. Otherwise it will think the brackets from the script are the beginning of Smarty tags.
