Sure most .COMs are regged and some are becoming avail through drops and sellers but imo not all good .coms are not gone

Sometimes it feels like all good ones are gone especially when you desperately try to reg something important.

In the last few months I have regged a few for clients and myself that I like. For inspiration and motivation I'd like to see what other .COMs people here have REGISTERED LATELY.

Some of my most recent regged ones are:

PathJunction.com (today)
InstantWiz.com
gomysql.com (last week)
drBigO.com (last week)
hystericalsites.com
findPrefab.com

What great DotCOM reggs have you done lately. Would be nice to see what other NamePros have come up with.

I agree with you you can still find good .coms and generic typos I regged typos of states for $6.75 sold for $25 within two days. My best reg Anythong.com Great typo of anything.com and a great name for a Ladies underwear retailer, Plus I have a little start up brand called booty beauty that anythong goes great with I would have thought that name taken a long time ago. Gomysql.com very nice name congrats

Look at new technology, voip, vod, realtones etc - plenty of opportunity there if you look carefully.

While bummin around looking for some Antique & collectibles names I came across BradleyandHubbard.com and SoftDrinkCollectibles.com. Reg'd both just a bit ago.
The B&H had once been reg'd but never developed and has a bit of WT/OVT. The soft drinks one has never been reg'd and a bit long but very generic.

there are definitely opportunities and good names in the .com area. I agree with wot..Com's are still needed for new technology, terms, industries etc, so there's always a new thing that isn't being represented yet and its gotta start somewhere. For e.g, i recently bought biometriclicense.com, because i know there are biometric passports and there's bound to be a license soon( i bought it after i read a CNET article saying biometrics was a proven success). i discuss this issue on my website : www.novicedomainers.com.

Needed/wanted a name for online experts and found that

GuruIndex.com was avail. Very happy with it but not sure if I ever get around doing anyhting with it. I wanted to create a directory of gurus and withthat own the search term Guru...

Maybe I do one of them automated link directories with the requirement that "link" partners must have word Guru in domain or biz name.

Emerging trends are a very profitable niche when it comes to domain names. Don't be fooled though into thinking it's easy. It takes a lot of time to research these areas and come up with good ideas for names.

I try to monitor "pop culture" trends by simply paying attention to what people are talking about. Recently, my wife has been watching "Dancing w/ the Stars" and I've also overheard people talking about it at work. I started brainstorming and eventually I ended up registering:

TangoInstructor.com

May not seem like much now but if this "ballroom dancing" buzz really takes off, I'll have a premium name on my hands.

There are many nice names still available.

I just registered the following:

SelfEffacing.com (Well known phrase appears nearly 1 millions times in Googles serps. Here's the Answers.com definition)

ActorsActor.com (How many times have you heard someone referred to as an Actors Actor?)

SOLD and removed in consideration for the privacy of the new owner.

DNCodes.com (Domain Name Codes)

And I have a list with over 1000 domains that I update daily. I have to keep telling myself that I canโ€™t buyโ€™em all โ€“ Or my husband may indeed kill (divorce) me!

Edit

Oh, I also registered AllTooClear.com, I'm going to market it to Windows and Glass company's because I think it's easy to remember and very catchy.

Best wishes,
Kimmy

Even i've registered few but not recently.

OverBulk.com
PartyHouseWives.com ---> contrary to DesperateHousewives
AdBreed.com
Sexpected.com ----> not porn related!! very recently!!
PayPerLook.com ---> Who knows about possible creative marketing...

I got pages of names to be reged... Of course it won't sell at 6-figures but possible development would inflate the value.

Well they aren't .coms, but mobile voip is going to be huge (well, probably ...). Regged these at the weekend.

voipcells.net
voipmobilephones.net
voipmobiles.org
wifimobiles.org

Hard to know where to stop when it's somewhat of a gamble - there were lots more, particularly .in, .cn etc. Obvioulsy they would be a much longer term investment.
