Why .CA registry took back my name?

Hi ,guys yestoday i regged Bentley.ca and took back by registry today without any emails when i checked my account

Whats wrong in the world with .CA registry? beraking my heart

only refund but no any compensations? sucks!

Could i file a law suit against .CA registry?

You certainly cant file a lawsuit.

They may have removed it because "Bentley" its a trademark? Why did you register the name?

Bentley" its a trademark?i dont think so in a way,because its comon last name or first name in Canada,Whats more took back my domain without any emails informed,this is robbery

It is a trademark but it comes down to how you use it (Remember Apple is a fruit as well )

There are actually actually 104 trademarks for Bentley so thats what you have to be careful of.

here is the ture story and example once happened bettween France registry and the private owner who come from Australia

A once regged treat.fr and after several month he found his domain has gone without any email attention,finally,he got to know from registar that his domain had took back by FRregistry,and he was so suprise and angry at that time,then he filed a law suit against FR registry and won the case ,FR regisry has to return it to the owner in the end!

Actually, I think Brad is correct on this one. I do remember wanting a .CA a while back and I couldn't register one.

Yes,i can,a friend of mine do business in Canada ,she is Chinese-Canadian,i contacted her first and she ageed,after that ,she helped me to reg it

The domain registrant has to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident - Namesilo have a special field for that info for .ca domains, so if it was not her name as the domain owner/registrant, then it was not ok. The domain is still registered for a year, according to the whois.

Yes and that page says of pendingCreate status:

If the TLD is not on a special registration period and you are NOT the listed Registrant, you should contact your registrar immediately to resolve the issue.

It would had been safe if She had regd in her own name and account. You cant have a .ca in your account if you dont have presence in Canada.
