If you want to see Democrats win - don't go with Hillary. She will get killed by the media and the Republican scream machine. The Republicans would love nobody better to run against than Hillary.

And if you haven't noticed the majority of Americans according to all recent polls no longer support the war in Iraq. She voted for the war, has never recanted her vote and is one of the most shrill for egging for war on Iran. She is on the wrong side of many of her own potential voters. She can't win with that kind of strategy.

Sadly there are no other really high profile women Democrats. Pelosi is not the one and she is the only other one who could rationally be considered.

I say - Ron Paul of Texas for President! A real Republican, and someone who gets the world around him. He'd get my money and support... if I was American.

Who thinks Hillary's Senate run is just a smokescreen? Actually, I'd love to see a woman president.. but most of all, I'd like to see a president who can be both strong AND competent. Gender shouldn't be an issue.

BTW- I'm thinking McCain would stand a good chance of beating Hillary.. but would be interesting to see two women candidates.

Caution: my opinion of GWB follows

He's not nearly as scary as dub-yah. dub-yah's character is real and that's what really scary. I hate GW... just hate him. He has just F'd up everything. It just seems like all of a sudden everyone hates us and wants to kill us. The only thing that's different is Bush's loner cowboy bullshit.

Well, now that I've vented a little bit, I think CW would be a good choice for president....for a minute. Then after he dazzled us at the innagural reception with his fancy dance moves we'd collectively say, "oh shit!" I think we need someone with some real tact to undo all that has been done unto us the last eight years. How's that! I just quoted the bible!

I think Hillary might be a lock for the nomination.. not so sure she'd actually be voted in.

This will be unpopular but that said, I think we need someone who can exorcise the Ghosts of 9/11 and allow the country to get back on track. By that I mean, we need to pay more attention to domestic issues, and spend less time on matters overseas.
