You may have noticed that numerous domain name registrar's web sites (such as GoDaddy.com, DomainStudio.com, LuckyRegister.com, Kify.com, etc) all opperate using the same back-end infrastucture. They all have the same menu structure, the same products on offer (e.g. DomainAlert Pro), the same tools (e.g. Domain Manager 4.2). In fact they only differ in terms of the price of their services and presentation of their web site.
Does anyone know how these businesses are structured? Are they all franchises? And who provides this common web site infrastructure?
