Auction on Flippa currently has 10bids and is at $2,000,000
still looking there ..
Flippa you mean. (As in your title.)
Reserve met, could get interesting. (Provided it's the real deal.)
I'm betting it won't hit $3,100,000 like Whisky, could be wrong.
I'd say bidder #6 @ $50.00 is out on this one..
My bad, flippa... Sorry was on sedo for the past two hours haha
Actually after looking at the bids, the auction should be only at $60,000 as bidders have apparently been suspended
Yep that just happened, wasn't there when I looked before.
PS - Reserve not met now...
i seen on my email before whiskey.com have 10 bids. flippa.com
Classic Flippa activity. Pop goes the auction.
Yes, after attempting to confirm the identity of the bidder we came to the conclusion that it was a fake bidder. His bids have been removed and the auction is back on track.
Fake bidder. It happens. We have resolved the issue, bids have been removed.
You should do like some of the others and any bidding over X amount the bidder must be verified. Just a suggestion...
We immediately pushed for verification and concluded it was a fake bidder. It was taken care of in under 20-30 minutes. These things happen.
Having read the $3,100,000 back story on DNJournal for Whiskey.com a second time around, I found this interesting snippet near the end:
In nearly 1 year, they have not been able to re-brand or make more sales? Something seems fishy about this whole deal now.
Any clarification by Michael Castello or the broker?
I can't seem to find too much information on who the "largest supplier of whiskey in Europe" is and if they're going under or if this was just an absurd assumption to be made.
I understand but you must agree pre-verification over a certain amount in sales would stop this. At namejet I think you need to be verified for anything over 2 grand, you might want to look at this but JMO.
I totally agree that a pre-verification over a certain amount would be beneficial to the platform As the broker for the name Whiskey.com, you can imagine how much I would have enjoyed that verification being done before the bid.
You said the backstory on DNJournal was for Whiskey.com when it was for Whisky.com Two different domains.
can anyone look up are whiskeys.com still available ?
Yes, I am brokering the domain exclusively on Flippa.com
Bidding is still going on.
They are independent whisky shop that deals mostly in the German market.
From their site:
Whisky.com is a small company in the heart of Bavaria, Germany
I don't know why they felt the need to splurge on the domain.
Best site imho is masterofmalt.com if you're interested in scotch.
How it is brokering if you put it on an exclusive auction @ flippa.. ?
I am a contracted broker for Flippa. The domain is exclusively available on the Flippa platform.
Was the reserve met at $2,000,000?
