Say I want to look into finding some 4L or 3L domains, obviously can't have any luck on .com anymore.

If you had to make a list of tlds by priority, what would it be? Cheers and good luck to everyone!

    Kinda hard question to answer..
TLD (com, net, info, etc) ...If (dot)com is "King" then (dot)net is the "Prince" <just my opinion..

Unless you are asking about ccTLD like (dot)ca, (dot)de, (dot)cn etc..then I am biased ((dot)ca) but would guess the countries with the highest population

And if you are referring too..
restricted top-level domains (rTLDs), like .aero, .biz, .edu, .mil, .museum, .name, and .pro..

    doesn't surprise me...
    (1) N.N.domain. A 2 character (numbers) domain of which there is only 100 combinations starting from 00 and ending at 99.
    (2) Double "8" supposedly 8 is a luck number
    (3) Same number twice..00,11,22,33,44,55,66,77,88 and 99 which is statistically rare!

    So it kinda rare!
Not saying (dot)xyz is popular or not

The only one "restriction" for .PRO which differs it among other gTLDs - minimum length 4 chars for GA.

    Just words without a source...
    ".pro TLD Requirements
Any individual or entity who wishes to register a .pro domain name must meet the following requirements:[11]

    • Provider of professional services
    • Admitted to or licensed by a government certification body or jurisdictional licensing entity recognized by a governmental body that regularly verifies the accuracy of its data
    • In good standing with the licensing authority
Able to provide information regarding their professional eligibility such as: identification, contact information, license number, or any information relevant to the specific profession"

    This deprecated 2 years ago...
Afilias has signed the new agreement with ICANN: https://www.icann.org/resources/agreement/pro-2015-10-01-en
.PRO is managed as any other gTLD... without any restrictions.

Even in traditional Wiki the information is more recent: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.pro

A regulatory change made the .pro domain name unrestricted to all registrants starting November 16, 2015.[5]
