Hey friends,

I’m getting back into domaining after a break, and I’ve just started a new wave of registrations.

I now have a lot of domains to list for sale, but I’m wondering: what are the best DNS settings to use for this? Here’s what I’m considering:

• NS1.SEDOPARKING.com
• NS2.SEDOPARKING.com
OR..

• NS1.AFTERNIC.com
• NS2.AFTERNIC.com

I think I should focus on the best aftermarket platforms, but I’m not entirely sure.

I’ve also had some trouble verifying domains on Sedo because all my DNS were set to Afternic, so I had to switch them to list my names on Sedo as well.

How do you handle this process? After registering a new domain, what’s your usual procedure to get it listed on the main marketplaces?

And which aftermarkets do you consider must-haves for every domain sale?

Thanks for taking the time to read and share your personal feedback!

I have had over 200 domain names listed on Sedo for the past couple of years with ZERO sales or enquiry.

That coupled with their SLOW domain verification systems have made me ABANDON Sedo completely.

While I have not delisted the domain names already on there, I am no longer adding new names to Sedo.

For now, I list exclusively on Afternic and use their Nameservers. Since GoDaddy will penalise you with a 10% fine if your domain name sells and you weren't using their NS.

Given that GD/Afternic is the largest and most consistent sales venue for most investors, it makes sense to use their NameServers.

Best solution, in my honest opinion, its Afternic. So many users search domains to buy on GoDaddy registrar, as preffered from ads. 30% comission and fast sale via distribution network, I think thats great deal.

They all suck! Have never made a sale on either of them for many domains listed. People have purchased my domains straight from Godaddy as Premium Domains for around $400 a couple of times. Repeat. I've never sold anything on Afternic or Godaddy Auctions or Sedo or Flippa or whatever that place was called. Buying domainsfor resell is a suckers game in my opinion unless you have big bucks to buy and sell big buck domains.

I understand you recommend Afternic NS, fair enough.

But with Afternic nameservers configured, commissions never reach 30%.

Also, calling 30% a "great deal" eludes me.
