On which Broker Should I Sell My Domain? (Research)

From DNJournal.com they have a list of all domains that sold in 2004 for over $10,000. This is highest "reported" so who really knows for sure.

They have 303 domains listed that sold for a total of $12,723,747.

Of those here are the top performing brokers:

Private Sale (No Broker Used)
43 Sales total of $5,586,761

Sedo
92 Sales total of $2,705,602

Great Domains
22 Sales total of $1,096,500

Moniker / Domain Systems
16 Sales Total of $892,705

Pool
41 Sales total of $724,220

Afternic
25 Sales total of $413,445

Domain Systems
6 Sales Total of $241,431

Snap Names (Not really a broker)
20 Sales total of $389,599

By the way eBay has only 1 sale listed and it's for $14,600.

You could cruch the numbers more and figure out who makes the most per sale and such, but I don't have that kinda time, heh. ;)

Depends on the domain(s) in question, and its/their pereceived value(s) by a buyer(s), IMHO :!:

There is no "magical" Domain Name Broker that can sell "less than premium" domain names for consistent premium dollars (which, by the way, is not the context above either ... as DNJ, itself, clearly states: "We will close with this standard caution. These are not average selling prices - these are top selling domains. One of the biggest impediments to making sales is pricing domains at unrealistic levels. For most of us, pricing domains at the levels achieved on the Top Ten chart will leave us waiting a long time to make a sale! We hope you will use the information presented here as a measuring stick that will help you price your domains at levels that will put more money in your pocket more often!").

Respectuflly, I would say start here in the "Appraisal's Forum" ... and then begin to prune down and "fine-tune" any of those premium domains for potential addition to any "To Be Sold by a Broker" List, in my view.
Wishing you all the best!
B-)

We have actually transacted much more domain sales than what is reported on dnjournal and have far more in sales than any of the companies above. Most of our sales are confidential and cannot be reported...especially many of the larger sales.

We would be happy to assist anyone with their escrow, acquisition, and domain sales needs. Just let me know

Good you mentioned that Monte I think you need to do a better job of letting people know that because I never really here moniker brought up as being bigger than Sedo. I think your site is not that Fluid. IMO

Try DomainSystems.com too.

Quite honestly I had never even heard of moniker.com so I must have never seen any banner ads where I go. How DN Journal has it listed as Moniker / Domain Systems does that mean you merged or changed names?
