Which AdSense ads convert better

Hi,

I just want an opinion as to, in general, which type of ads convert better, Image ads Or Text Ads.

I use adsense for a free directory. Whats your suggetions.

my vote to text ads.

I prefer the look of banner ads, but text ads have always gotten more clicks on anything I have put them both on.

banner ads to get clicks on your ads... that are not blended... people will see a banner better then text ads...

I haven't used Google banner ads so far guess its time to give it a try. I use text ads only .

Only with trial and error will you know what works for your particular website and its visitors.

That is prob the only way to get further in SEO/Ad Management etc... also a great learning experience which can get costly sometimes

Its like a experiment, may be costly in the short-run but can turn highly profitable in long run if done wisely

visitors dont give any importance to images ads

I don't have any sites that make any real money or get a high number of page impressions, but I like to experiment. Sometimes a few changes in the color, size, and placement of the SAME text ads makes a dramatic difference in performance.

One of my new sites gets about 300-500 hits/day... my first couple ad strategies got NO clicks, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that, after a few changes last night, it's earned $2 so far.
