I heard off a friend that NamePros, although good for discussion, it was not the place to make most money when selling. I was told to use SitePoint, but after listing my site and purchasing "featured on the forum home page" I have had 119 view after one day, but no bids. Maybe it is due to the names: www.jobseekuk.com www.newfilmreviews.info. Please give advice on where the best place to sell domains. Where, in your opinons would one recieve more money??

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Mutasim,

1) The names aren't great, and the "Appraised at $12,000" line smacks of inexperience (Appraisals usually mean nothing to buyers, unless it is a company that has to justify the expenditure).
2) Your thread has been cleaned up to conform to forum rules. If you have any questions, please read the FAQ FIRST (See the menu bar, left hand side), and after reading everything you should know what to do next time ;)

You could add tdnam.com to this list.

If your name is high quality then you can sell it on Mars if you like. A good name will sell anywhere.

Sedo is o.k. but they catalog about a billion names. What's the difference between listing at Sedo and not? If someone is looking for your name he will find it regardless of it being on Sedo or not. Why not just search the whois database?

The best way to sell a decent name is to direct market it offline. Compile a list of prospects and snail mail each one asking for a bid.

Great Domains for a Great Domain
Sedo to sell at a good price (>$500)
GoDaddy for a cheap domain (<$500)
Namepros and other domain forums for fast sale.

However, if your selling a lot of domains and investing money into marketing your domains for sale then it is good to sell through your own website.

They are just being mean... *lol* Glad you took it lightheartedly...

Anyway digitalpoint.com forums have a section to sell sites too... and personally I find it quite okay.

You can always try listing at www.siteusell.com, certainly won't harm your sale. Still small but growing nicely.
