Where to find how many times something has been searched?

I've seen a lot of posts about looking to see how many times a term is searched... Where can you find this info? Google trends?

I also use this free site which I feel is faster and easier to read than GKT:

serps.com/tools/keyword-research/

It seems to give the same results than G, but I wouldn't guarantee

Beside that, there are plenty of pay tools that call G APIs

KeyWord Spy is one of the resources I use and it's very nice. No I'm not affiliated in any way. You don't have to pay for it as it's free for the first 10 results or so of a keyword search. It even let's you know the advertisers for that particular keyword as well.
