Hey guys,

I have been building my portfolio up now for some time, and I have quite a few domain's that I believe are worth some money.

Where would you recommend I list them for sale?

I mean I would prefer an auction format but I want to list them on a website they would have the highest possibility of selling / you have had a good experience with.

Names that come to mind are obviously flippa, sedo and so on.

How do these markets exactly work for selling? Is there a newer, potentially better method of sale?

Hi, if your registrar is GoDaddy, try their premium sale, but GoDaddy suggestion prices are very few, put your high prices, I made a sale after next day there (suggestion price was $140-150.. I put $850, domain sold)

Flippa, I made 2 sale threads, first 20 visitors, second 34, Flippa is the best sale place for websites but not for domains (20 visitor!.. I am making sale thread here minimum 200 visitors)

So would you suggest developing the domains into websites before I sell them?

& I have them currently listed at godaddy auctions as well..

%100, but if you need money for the projects, try GoDaddy sale first or this forum.. Make a website, made some profit and put it sale at Flippa or save it, your choice..

Monthly profit is key factor, if you earn, and if you show the proofs for your earn, you can sell it everywhere, easily...

But domain sale is not easy today, 20 visitors, I spend $29 for 20 visitors at Flippa...

People told me that Namepros is the best place to sell your domain and learn new web technologies and this is the reason why I am here.

It would help to know what type domains you are selling. Please list 3 or 4 of your best domains.

Names such as unbeing.com (1 word dictionary word domains for e.g.)

I have a wide variety of names, with assorted extensions.

I think the names in your sig will be very difficult to sell.
Exposure is not the problem, you need to have something that other people want (without you pointing a gun to their head).
If you have great names, end users will come to you.

Sedo, GoDaddy, your own domain sales site, etc... more places ya list better chance of a sale happening assuming the domains themselves have some form of quality.

If you have great names, end users will come to you.

My 20 visitor domain was 22,000 exact match searches .org at Flippa sale (20+ extensions are taken) (High Ads competetion, product shopping keywords)

Probably can sold minimum $1000 to an enduser.

Interesting, 3 years ago I made an auction there for very bad domain name and 120 listing views but today 20 for a good domain. (5 days auction each)

It is not a good place for domain name sale but best place for if you have high traffic, high profit websites.

Afternic, 1 year ago my some domains monthly listing page views was 30-40, but today monthly 1-2 and my sales are stopped.. Reason is probably Google panda, penguin updates etc. I can not see any other reason.

If you have 3 letter .com or high grade great domains you don't need to advertising for them, buyers will find you but if you have middle or low class names, buyer can come years after so put your ads to everywhere. I made my all sales at Godaddy, Afternic, Sedo, Forums and with offers to my emails so I can't say any other place is good but tons of place are there if you search at the Google, also I am looking for good new places for domain sales.

Maybe this article can help you. Old article but a lot of places are still working.

I would suggest putting your domains up for sale on your own domain selling site, RockStarDomains.com

Development is underway, thanks for the suggestion, do you currently sell your domains on your own website?

@stub, I'm curious why you have your domains spread over 3 websites?

I'd take a guess and shoot at perhaps to maximize visibility.

I seen most of the websites are sold on Flippa, is Flippa good place for selling domain names too?

I tried selling a domain on Flippa, it had 29 views, however no bids. Depends really, if you believe your domain name is premium enough then you should definitely go for it, however it does look like your more likely to acquire a bid if the domain is backup up with a website.

There is no "that" place to sell.

Put domains on all sites that are cost-free, and while you wait, you can develop them.

Sometimes you sell one on godaddy, sometimes you get offer because someone see your domain on forum but he is not member.
From time to time you can contact 'small' end users. Sale bring you maybe just 100$ but for domain you paid 10$ thats great ROI.

You should go/find your way ;)

- If you have domains at moniker, you can sell them at snapnames.com
- LLLL.com's at GoDaddy/Tdnam auction get sometimes a bit more because they are also listed at LLLLsales.com
- If you have auction running, advertise it in "External Sales / Auctions" subforum here at Namepros and "other" Forum

- AND (dont think many people do it) Redirect page during sale/auction to auction link.
(Example: MyDomainForSale.com -> https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?&miid=88095122)
